Dianne Fiumara, MTT300, IMTA
Dianne has been an avid student of meditation and yoga for over 30 years. She practiced Siddha Yoga Meditation for 18 years, then began practicing mindfulness meditation in 2011. Her main teachers have been Tara Brach, founder of Insight Meditation Community of Washington and Hugh Byrne, guiding teacher at IMCW, as well as Jonathan Foust, also an IMCW guiding teacher.
She received her Certified Mindfulness Teacher 300-hour training at the Engaged Mindfulness Institute, taught by Fleet Maull, PhD, who co-founded Engaged Mindfulness Institute with Vita Pires-Crisp. Dr. Maull is also founder of the Prison Mindfulness Institute.
Dianne is currently enrolled in her 500-hour teaching certification at EMI. She has an abiding commitment to lifelong learning, professional and personal growth.
Dianne teaches mindfulness to Covid19 frontline workers in a program she developed, called “Mindfulness for Heroes”. She received her training for the purpose of teaching mindfulness skills to underserved populations and anyone who has experienced trauma.
Her teaching focuses on mindfulness, resilience and compassion.
She also teaches Introduction to Non-Violent Communications.
